Baidu(Nasdaq: BIDU) release Q4 and 2006 earning results early today. Then, Robin Li, CEO of Baidu.com and Shawn Wang, CFO of Baidu.com deliver a call conference, answering the questions from analysist.
Shawn Wang claims that Baidu.com plans to invest $150 million in the Japanese market, including recruiting staff, web construction and daily operation. Robin Li says that the company will recruit Chinese and Japanese employees simultaneously and put servers in Japan to realize the localization.
Robin Li reveals that the domain for Japanese web is www.baidu.jp. Baidu.com preparing for the Japanese market two and three quarters ago.
